Hat Box Made Lazy Susan DIY

January 18th, 2012 by

I’m so excited to show you an easy and fast way to create storage, clean up some clutter, and create a beautiful centerpiece for your table top. This may just look like a vintage hat box to you, but it’s so much more than that! It’s a Lazy Susan, too! They’re no longer only for your kitchen table.

These are items I am always picking up and hiding some place else, but now I don’t have to. They clutter my table for a reason, because I’m always using them! Now I have a hiding place for them and a new stand for other, prettier things.

If a hat box would take up too much space on your table, this project would also be great for old cigar boxes. You can use any thing you wish to mount on the bottom of the base. I used an old shoebox to cut my cardboard square from. Oh, and I found my Lazy Susan swivel base at Lowe’s. :)

Have fun making your new Lazy Susan!

Love, Missy
